Mrs. Melba Dela Cruz was born September 15th 1954. At 55 years old, she has been disabled for two months after a fall in the creek. Mrs. Melba suffered a lot of pain and cannot walk anymore. She is carried by her family and friends. Her family is very poor and cannot afford to pay Hospital bills and operation. Mrs. Melba said, “I can’t afford my operation we’re just poor, where am I going to get money to pay for my operation? All I want is a Wheelchair, so my family will not have to carry me anymore. I can move on my own with the help of the Wheelchair and it will give me the independence I need.”
